How to Play Browser Games – is it Simple?

Friday, April 13th, 2012

There are a lot of gamers on this planet, and there are increasing numbers taking up the pursuit for their own pleasure. At one time, the gaming community was a hardened core of people who knew gaming inside out, and could pick up and play games as diverse as sports simulations, war games and more besides without much of a learning curve being required. In this day and age, with more and more people becoming gamers, is there a need for game developers to recognise the likelihood that some of the people picking up games will be complete newbies?

It is a fact that many of the first-time gamers around today will be playing browser games. In this respect, they will be people who have not bought a console, and may never have bought one in their lives (unless they have kids who are gamers). While the control system of any typical video game is pretty self-explanatory to any typical gamer, first-time players and people who are playing browser games as a way of passing the time will not understand instructions like “Up, B, duck! Crouch, now toggle weapons!” and will favor a simpler control system and tactics.

Typically, a browser game will have a more sedate control system than the typical console game, and it will therefore be easier to pick up and play. Any non-gamer who has looked at a controller for console games could legitimately wonder what all those buttons do – some of the newer consoles have controllers which seem barely less complicated than the flight deck of a Boeing aircraft, which allow the player to control such actions as driving a car, loading and firing a crossbow, and aiming a sniper rifle with absolute accuracy.

Browser games will typically involve fewer actions. With one click of the mouse, depending on the game you are playing, it is often possible to mobilise forces for an attack or defensive manoeuvre, plant a few crops or give a gift to a friend (or that friend’s animated pet!). The intricacy of a console game is not usually present in browser games, although this is not to say that the games themselves are not intricate – indeed, some of the best browser games are ones which involve a great deal of strategy.

This simplicity is part of the reason that some console gamers just don’t bother playing browser games, even thinking those games to be beneath them in some cases – don’t underestimate the level of snobbery in console gaming! However, people who recognise that a good game is a good game will happily move between the different platforms and enjoy the game for what it is.

If you want to get into gaming, you could do worse than starting with browser games before making the move to consoles. On the other hand, there is no doubt that the types of game on a browser and those on a console are little alike – so if you fire up a console hoping to play a game along the lines of Farmville, you are likely to be horrified by what confronts you.

Why Are 3D Games Getting Popular?

Monday, March 26th, 2012

Children are often seen sitting glued to computers and playing games now-a-days. Games, which were earlier played on grounds or with boards, are now available in our computers. Computer games, when introduced were 2 dimensional and were not interactive. Today, computer games have taken a new avatar in the form of ’3D games’, which have become almost an obsession to kids.

So, what is special about these 3D games? 3D games contain the well-known 3D effects and capture the player or draw them into its own world. The various multimedia effects are programmed to give a real-world impression. These games offer full-colour format with stunning images, specially effectuated audio and video. How long would a kid keep playing the same Mario or Flight combat? Every day, hundreds of new games are being released with different themes and effects. Even the former Age of Empires, Prince of Persia are renewed to provide virtual 3D atmosphere.

The moment we hear ‘computer games’, we can see guys getting excited about racing and shooting games. This is where ‘Miniclips’, a 3D web game development company, is at its zenith. Miniclip is an online game site that has a range of sports, racing and shooting games for free and at cost. Miniclips games have become so widespread that it has become almost synonymous to shooting and racing games and sometimes referred to as racer miniclips. The miniclip arcade has over 5000 games online with the best effects.

There can’t be a child who hasn’t played Harry Potter or Farme Ville. All thanks to shockwave games. Shockwave games are an innovative online site which has animated fictional characters and creatures from other worlds in their games. Most of the classy novels are made into games that give us the thrill of being the protagonist, whom we had only read in books or watched in movies and admired.

Not only racer and shooter games, many soft games like dress up games, adaptation of romantic novels are also available on many sites with 3D games. These games lure kids as well as adults to play these games. Virtual reality, an upcoming branch in the field of multimedia grabs the attention of people in all ages and also gives a break from the conventional method of playing.

Coming in hand to all these, is the Unity Player developed by Windows. It is an integrated authority tool used in the creation of 3D video games or interactive 3D animations. It is one of the most widely used video game editors.

On the whole, 3D video games have become an integral part of kids’ entertainment and are getting more popular day by day. Except that they are addictive, 3D games make a good time pass for all the kids and are used for educational purposes also. All these factors add up to the fact that 3D games have reached every house that has a computer! 4D effects are a fast growing area of research, but still in today’s world, 3D games take us to another world with their close-to-real-world effects and have touched almost every door!

Digital Game Cameras Are Useful For Scouting

Monday, March 12th, 2012

The identification and tracking possibilities of digital game cameras offer much greater accuracy and convenience than manual identification and tracking of game. More often, movement in shrubs and trees are caused by the blowing wind, debris falling from trees and small animals such as squirrels. The result of manual surveillance is to tire and exasperate the hunter so that when the real game shows up, he is frequently in a less than adequate condition to aim and fire his bow.

Besides tracking, digital cameras work for security and photography

Digital game cameras may also be used to monitor animal activity in a given area. They will simply have to be mounted above the periphery to be monitored. This is something that nature enthusiasts can benefit from. The camera can be kept on for as long as it has power and it will give an accurate and complete visual of the place it is focused on. Additionally, the nigh vision of the camera can produce images that are useful for those who study wildlife and its movements.

Photographing at night

Taking photographs at night with infra-red light will produce black and white pictures. If more color is required, a small amount of secondary light should be provided. Neither the primary nor the secondary light source can be detected by animals. Hence photographing them at night is perfectly possible and the photographs are detailed enough to be informative.

On a scouting trip, for instance, it becomes possible to photograph the nightlife of insects and small animals. Bringing a digital game cameras on your scouting trip should make that experience an educational and interesting one. You won’t have to sleep through the night and can investigate the other living creatures in the area who are awake like you.

Ease of installation

There are many models of digital game cameras. Some are more difficult to install that others. In order to make sure that you can easily set it up on your expedition, you need to request the vendor to show you how to setup and use the device. After that initial demo, repeat the process once or twice in your house until you master all the steps.

Other good features

You may even create a remote controlled system for the digital game camera. You can then, from your tent, view the portion of the property where the camera is focused. This lets you know if there are prowlers around.

Year after year, digital game cameras are getting more specialized. Some of the features are very useful for taking pictures at home as well as the outdoors. The images produced by these cameras are usually high resolution. People who are collecting photographs of seldom seen animals would do well to bring along a digital game camera on their scouting trip. That is one of the reasons why your family camera should be a digital game camera. On top of their top functionality, their versatility and their quality they are among the most durable cameras available today

What To Look For In A Computer Gaming Chair

Sunday, March 11th, 2012

For those who spend much of their time in front of their computer or video game console, a computer gaming chair becomes a necessity. These chairs come in several different designs, all of which offer different features.

Most of these chairs are fully height-adjustable and come with armrests so that one can have it such that their feet are touching the ground, helping with circulation and posture so that one can endure longer hours in front of the computer.

While these chairs are not exactly cheap, if buying one means being comfortable in front of your PC, then it will be well worth it in the long run. Sitting on a regular office chair for long hours at a time may lead to backache at some point; and it is these people who will feel the benefits of a computer gaming chair the most.

The chairs that come with a headrest are especially recommended if one suffers from neck problems, as these can help support one’s neck while sitting down. There are also chairs which come with full back support that are also quite comfortable and useful. One would be wise to get a chair which reaches up to his shoulders when he is fully rested on it so as to maximize back support.

Those looking for a computer gaming chair should choose an ergonomically-designed one as they spend a lot of time playing games. The comfort that these chairs offer might even make one play better and for an even longer amount of time, as it does not really become straining or uncomfortable anymore.

There are several different kinds of chairs available; there are even some that are placed flat on the ground; like a rocking chair, for example. One can even choose to purchase a chair that is just like a regular computer gaming chair, but comes with surround sound speakers within the chair for an enhanced gaming experience. Imagine having a cup holder on your chair so that your drinks are never too far away or a pocket for headphones or controllers so that once you sit down, everything is within reach. These chairs were designed to make everything easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable for their consumers.

Those who already spend much time in front of their PCs or gaming consoles and do not have a computer gaming chair should definitely put buying one on their list of priorities. The difference will be felt immediately. But choosing the right one to buy is more important than anything else. One must dedicate a lot of time to choosing the right one; you will have to sit down on them and see if it is right for you and if it comes with all the features that you need. A computer gaming chair should feel like an extension of your body; one should feel no strain at all even after spending the whole day sitting on one. Once you get a computer gaming chair, it will last for several years and is definitely a great investment.

Top Game Cards For PC

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

Great graphics cards can make game play much faster and more efficient. There are some cards that are super expensive and others that are more reasonable in price. However the faster the card the more money it tends to cost and the same goes for the slower cards. There are some great video game cards that are worth noting because of their popularity with PC gamers.

ATI radeon HD 5870 takes the top spot for single-GPU performance. It`s competitive with its dual GPU cards on the market. It has 1GB of GDDRS on it and a clock speed of 850 MHz to mention. It also consists of full support for Direct X 11. This card occupies two slots in the system and it is big, but it does feature much high end material at a reasonable price.

NVIDIA Ge-force GTX 295 is a great card to have. It has 240 stream processors and is fairly small at 55nm process. With two PCB approach it offers an impressive performance on a single card.

ATI Radeon HD 4870×2 is a dual GPU card with 2 HD 4870 graphics processors. It has 2 GB of memory and does use allot of power and cause some heat. However, it is a very competitive card for an amazing experience during game play.

ATI Radio HD 4890 is a card that has faster clock speeds. It also has a totally new designed layout making it easy to use. It is an inexpensive card for its diverse edge and great value.

NVIDIA Ge-force GTX 285 is an excellent card that is a graphics powerhouse. It has an amazing 1.4 billion transistors and is a 55nm version of the 280. This card is a great one to have and remains competitive with its rivals.

ATI radeon HD 4970 is a great design on a 55nm processor. It was the first card to use GDDR5 memory and it supports DirectX 10.1. This card has an excellent value for the money and is ideal for high end gamers who expect nothing but the best.

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 275 is a card that has one GPU rather than two. It fits between that GTX 260 and the GTX 285 in terms of performance. IT has 240 stream processors and 896 MB of memory, it has a core clock speed of 750 MHz this is an expensive card but works well for many expert gamers.

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260 is a nice card with fewer arithmetic logic units then its 280. It has less memory and a lower price tag. It has 896MB of GDDR3 and a GPU sitting at 576MHz. This card works reasonably well for the price and value.

Finding a game card that works well can take a bit of research. The best thing to do is to head into a computer store and talk to an expert who can steer you in the right direction. Everyone has various needs and is at different levels of game play. While one person might need a card with a high memory option and super fast speeds, another gamer might need it for more simplified gaming. The cards that would be needed for both the fast gamer and slower gamer would differ in the area of cost and content. It pays to check into what the card has to offer to ensure the best value for your money.

How to Level up Fast in WoW

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Questing. But thats not all of course. You are probably alerady bored of gays running around and begging for money. Eventhough there are still people who give money to those kind of beggars, its still a waste of time. So, first, what you need is money. I will assume you are an alliance player, since the horde generally doesn’t have any problems levelling fast hehe. Whatever, you sure need to level to level 12 following the quests given in your home region. And when doing those, be sure that you loot everything. You run out of free backpack slots in no time, but that is handled easily once you reach your level 6 town in the middle of the start region where you can buy many other bags. So, at first, save up some money for backpacks, because once you get the other puches and shit, you starto earn more money on each delivery, and continue looting everything. Also that your joruneys for quests will take longer between each visit to the town so you ll be looting many more items. And until level 12 do not be afraid of killing all the mobs that attack you. Kill all of them and loot all of them. Be sure that you are level 6 when you arrive the town in the middle of the region and also be sure you are level 12 when you are ready to leave your region.

Continuing as assuming you are still playing an Alliance character. For fast levelling, you need to be safe, which means you need to be somewhere close that most high levelled people are. As instance, westfall instead of darkshore, because theres no one in darnassus or exodar or even that part of the world, of warcraft. So, whatever race you are, head to westfall after level 12. Start doing the quests there with sam philosophy, loot them all- Also be sure that you finish every single quest in an area before you go visit the town to get other quests. Make a ring for your questing. Such as, if you are bound to jasperlode mine, get all the quests about jasperdole mine, and maybe all the qust that are next to jasperdole mine, and next to that. So you do these all in that particular order to make a ring. You travel and do quests non-stop and return to your town. Sell all the loot you have gained, buy better items, also be sure you do not waste money on little improvements but big ones. For example dont buy a boot with +14 armor benefit but a shoulder slot armor if you havent one. Well since you are down to fast levelling, you shouldn’t be messing with going for any professions since to keep on track with a profession along with levelling you really do need to pay attention to the profession and give it time, which, on this matter, a waste of time.

It is also important that you turn on your best action music on. The classic wow usic isn’t so dragging so you need some action music that you like. So why not James bond? Or lets see, any of horrorist stuff, or that kind of music with a hard and fast beat that you can actually take pleasure even hen you kil simple mobs. It can also be Red hot chili peppers which makes you cy when you are playing. It is a great motivation. Well with all these done you can level fast enough to be the king of the game. So i really hope you follow the tips i have given here, which will certainly take you out of being a stupid noob and take you somewhere. Good luck in h world! -Of warcraft.

Should Children Play Flash Games or Normal Games?

Monday, March 15th, 2010

It is commonly known as computer games have many benefits on humankind, especially on youngsters. But there are many types of computer games as we know today, and it is also a matter of discussion to determine which of these computer games are more beneficial for our children and which of them are less. Some parents think that children should only be playing flash games since they needn’t any complex matter for their entertainment, and they shouldn’t like to play the particular game too long. That normal computer games cause antisocialism and public cowardiness. At this point, parents should first decide that if they are going to evaluate the life for their children as they grow or directly try to give him the best. With evaluation i do mean that, buying a crappy computer first, when hes just a child then as he grows, giving him better and better. This way he would adapt himself as it needs to, when he require harder things to have fun, he will get them, but not before.

However, it is also a fact that flash games do exacty nothing but helping your children do pass time. They do not teach anything, they do not offer anything about the world, they do not guide your child in whatever way he would want to take in life. Yes, some of the normal games actually do that. Your children, after learning the game, starts to see things in the game’s way and if the game is good and qualified enough, this would be a real plus for him, and not actually a minus for him if the game is bad! He learns to solve problems, he learns about different cultures, he learns about history, he learns about life itself, he learns about maybe driving cars, planes, busses and such, he learns about the streets, he can learn about all kinds of thngs depending on what the game is actually about! There can be given numerous variety of instances on these such as, simulator games, strategy games, roleplaying games, action games, racing games and such. All these have things to teach to youth in their own ways. Of course, some of the information your children might acquire from these games may not be real, and it of course may be dangerous for him to think of those particular information to be real. This is why you have to monitor what games he is playing and you have to talk with him about these. You have to guide him on whichever these information are useful and true and whichever is not. That might look like a hard responsibility to take but you alerady took huge responsibility by choosing to have a child.

These normal games i just mentioned up there are not that heavenly blue of course. Some of them might cause addiction and therefore, antisocialism as most people believe that all of them cause it. For that, a careful moderation of the games and the time the child can play is needed. And again, it should be you who do this. You have to choose which game might cause addiction and which game would be better for your children. It is also important that it should be entertaining for your children to play. Otherwise whatever good game it is and whatever awesome information it may contain, however dragging it can be, ther eis no way your children will play it. So first thing you should do is to go to a game store and buy all of the games there and check all of the games if they are worthy or not. And Chose the worthy ones to make your children play it. This way, he will be learning while hes having fun!

Hazards of Computer Gaming

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Yes, it is this topic again, how hazardous is, that spending hours in front of a computer playing games. Parents to their children, wifes to their husbands, husbands to their wifes, brothers to sisters, everyone complains and everyone tells this to whomever seems to have spending too much time over a computer. But is it really that hazardous? Well of course it depends on what are we comparing it with. Every action we take, in this 21th century causes hazard in some sections of our body. That much precent of the populace is smoking, which harms the lungs greatly. Some drink everyday, there we can say goodbye to their livers, some dont even bother to walk to the store, poor legs of theirs, and total body that is gaining intense amount of fat every day. Which part, gaming hurts is, our eyes, as commonly known. But there is also one thing more. After some uncertain time, if one pass that line, it starts hurting the brain too. I am not going to claim it is because of radioactive weaves. It is simply because your mind is focused on something for too long a time, and that particular something isn’t changing. So after a time, your brain gets used to what it has in front of it, gets used to focusing it. Along with eyes, in years of over usage of computer, especially in games, causes your brain to disfunction in world occurances. Such as, one has hard time spotting a butterfly going past his ear, or has hard time hearing footsteps in the house when hes half asleep. This obviously is result of mind numbing. Your reactions, when not about a computer, become slower and slower, you start to have hard time spotting what is going on around you.

Is that all the harm that it can cause? No, as i said earlier, eyes take great amount of damage in same way, staring on to a screen for days and nights, which continues for years. After some time, retina of your eyes get damaged. In front of a computer, staring at it, you do not need much eye action, nor you need to close your eyes. But when you force them open and fix them to one place, in time, your eyes get dried. Yes, tears are something extremely important for health of the eyes and i do not mean crying, but its natural tears. So when you fix them to a position and force them open for countless days. In time, your eyes fail to create tears and your tear glands in your eyes start to decease. This is important because it, in normal means cannot be reversed. Which means that if you stop messing with computers and computer games after you got your tearglands rotten, they do not return to what they were in time. As we all might know, tears help in healthcare of the eyes, something created by the body itself to keep the eyes wet. So, without the tears to keep them wet, the eyes become dried themselves, and it becomes harder to move them, turn them. So you actually damage the outer rim of your eyes slightly, which causes astigmatismia over time. Which is eye rims damaged either vertical or horizontal and clouds your vision. So if you want not to encounter such problems, keep away time to time.

Playing computer games do not of course only harms your body, it has many advantages too. But what are we saying is that, they start harming when you overplay it. Since everything is hazardous when you overdo them. Theres a latin proverb which says, less is profit, average is order, over is harm, and this, i think explains the situation here quite certainly. So, for your own health, play computer games, but not that much!

A Guide to Aion; Strategy, Including How to Accumulate Much Kinah

Monday, March 15th, 2010

To successfully work your way through the levels of Aion, you must have a clear strategy. The game is relentless, and plans should always be made to cover eventualities many levels ahead.

Although there is a lot to think about, Aion strategy can be divided into two parts – the accumulation of Kinah, and smart tactics in the game itself.

Kinah, And How To Get Lots Of Them

Kinah is the currency of the game, just like our regular money. And not surprisingly, a very good strategy is to try to get as much of this as you can so that you can buy all the things that you need to move on to advanced levels.

So there you are – the more Kinah you have, the better off you are, and you will need a heap of it by Level 50.

But how do we make the most of this? Are there some keys to getting more Kinah out of your Aion game play? The answer is a resounding YES.

For starters, don’t pass up anything at all…no matter how small. If you see a dead mob laying in the street, loot them for every Kinah they have. It doesn’t matter how little there is. Over time, they will add up…and quickly.

If you run into any in game NPCs looking for items that you don’t need any longer, sell them. Again, it doesn’t matter for how much. The item is worthless to you anyway.

Look out for enemy drops. Pick them up and sell them. It doesn’t matter how unimportant they are. It doesn’t matter if you only get a Kinah or two for them. It all adds up.

Go hunting whenever you can. There are creatures out there that have magical loot that is worth a lot. You may be in for a tough battle to relieve them of it, but the rewards can be substantial, and you can easily sell these items for much Kinah.

What about those crafted items you are carrying around with you? Do you really need them? If not, sell them. They may be of no use to you, but somebody else will be prepared to pay for them. Sell them for whatever you can get.

Take it even further. Set up your own private store so that other players can buy from you. Trust me on this…if you get enough traffic coming through your store, the Kinah can add up…FAST.

Strategy – It’s Much More Than Brute Force and Currency

OK, you now know a few ways to accumulate Kinah. But you still have to be alive to spend it.

It’s time to put the basics of the game together and talk about strategy.

A sound strategy will get you through this game alive and successful. An unsound strategy will get you killed. It’s really that simple.

Trouble is, most beginning players don’t understand what a sound strategy is simply because they’re focused on the wrong thing…busting some heads.

Battling can certainly be fun and rewarding, but one who is unprepared for battle or takes on battles he is not ready for, is a fool.

So to begin with… know your limitations. If you’re a level one Scout with just a dagger in your hand, you want to be VERY careful about who you confront…no matter what level the character is at. You are the most vulnerable character in the game at this point and can be easily killed. So pick your battles very carefully.

In addition to that, you want to make sure that you do everything you can to prepare yourself for battle such as completing Work Orders, equipping yourself properly, and getting as much Kinah as you can. It is much easier to buy the items you need than it is to kill somebody for them…especially at the lower levels.

Next, you don’t want to become the town bully right off the bat. They say you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. It is quite true. So what you want to do is make friends…lots of them. If you are a Priest, you want to make friends with a Warrior, somebody who can fight your battles for you. If you are a Warrior, make friends with a Priest…somebody who can heal you.

You want to form a solid group as soon as possible. Groups have a much better chance of success than a single character groping in the dark. There is strength in numbers. Don’t ever forget that.

If you want some great tips on strategy and want to reach level 50 quickly, check out the Resource Box below. There is a link there to a review of what I believe is the best guide on the Internet and it’s dirt cheap next to the other ones I’ve seen. It also contains a detailed guide to finding and earning Kinah.

Which Are More Popular? Flash Games or Online Games?

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

This has been a terrible question in everyone’s heads that whether the most popular thing on the internet is either flash games or online games, apart from porn of course heh. Well although there have never made a scientific research about it but i have been apt to think of it logically, thinking of every possiblity and judging from everything that they are about and It related to.

Well, i am going to share it with you all so you can tell me if im right or wrong. Flash games are the type of games which everyone can play and do play in whatever they can find freetime and whenever, such as on laptop, waiting for plane to show up or on train, bored as hell, on phone, or maybe in house, waiting for one’s boyfriend to pick her up. It can be played even in the slightest and minorest of times. Also the fact that they are extremely easy to play, no knowledge is required apart from the knowledge that you have to use a computer, no installation required, no wait time, no search time as they are spread around the web like spiders. But are online games like that? No siree. Online games are generally the most complicated games that has ever invented on earth. You have to first, find it then buy it, and you cant even copy it as it is online, you need an original cd key so pirating is almost impossible. You get into the house and install it. It generally takes ages. Then its not over! You are yet ready to play. First you need to update all of your game cause there have been thausands of bugs reported so the game masters had to make bugfixes for all of them and release patches. Which makes you wait for another couple of hours to be able to play the game. Then you check in with your original cd key and create your account. Finally you are in the game. There are alot of things that you need to choose, server, class, race, stats, all sort of things like that. Which, a newcomer probably fails at doing so.

And after that you are thrown into a pool of spells and abilities and quests which you know nothing about. Well you start to learn and it takes more and more time as you endeavour it more and it takes even MORE time. Its hell of a work. But you know, there are still so many people that do this, it is a match for flash games. This can be only because that some people actually love complicated things, when other people love simple things. For example my sister hates those online games, says they are wadte of time and memory. I cannot agree with her. But i know that people are divided into two in a perspective, about this matter. Those who love simple entertainment and those who can be entertained only through complicated means. I am not going to judge whether is good or bad. But it is obvious that the first likes to play flash games and the latter likes online games, assuming they are all gamers alerady. In fact, i cannot call flash game players, gamers because nothing is ever required to play them. They are so easy! However i should be counting them as customers who use the web for those games so that is what is important. Well, also that it is easy to measure the quantity of players that play online games through the accounts and stuff. At least something average. But it is almost impossible to figure out how many people, how frequently play flash games. There are no registry for it. They are completely anonymus.

So now i came to this point, i give up trying to figure it out. If you ever figure it out please do tell me! And i will tell everyone else! You will be doing the public a great favor by doing so.
