Latest Recording News from Applian Technologies

There have been lots of big changes in the world of downloading streaming media recently – perhaps the most significant change is that YouTube is making it harder to download videos. They have started encrypting their most popular videos – in some cases offering them for sale for 99 cents – and have also started shutting down web-based YouTube download sites like Keepvid and Savevid.

YouTube’s changes impacted the Applian and WM Recorder lines a little bit but we came out with updates to the product lines last week.

We released WM Recorder 14.3 and Replay AV 8.78 – both programs offer improved YouTube video capturing. Both WM Recorder and Replay AV retail for $49.95.

This past month we also released an update to Replay Video Capture offering improved full-screen capture and fixing any conflicts with Windows Media Center. As more and more websites start encrypting their streams making it impossible to download, Replay Video Capture is becoming more and more popular. Replay Video Capture retails for $39.95.

We have also updated Freecorder4 our versatile FREE audio/video/recorder/converter.
